Stoking the fire

Oliver Peters gives a thorough account of the journey he’s been on with one of the film & video world’s most LOVED and HATED editing platforms.

For me, old habits die hard. YES, I still LOOOOVE Final Cut Pro7; I know all the moves & shortcuts like they’re an extension of my brain. But I know the day will come when Apple will no longer support my old addiction. So here’s my plan:

- read Oliver’s thoughts as an introductory MANIFESTO about why I should look into FCP X sooner rather than later

- watch the 11min tutorial video to at least re-align my brain to this new iMovie on steroids

Breathe deeply. I can DO this.

The more I get advice, the more I can put off actually getting around to it :)
